This class is low impact, designed to strengthen and move purposefully throughout your pregnancy and is suitable to every stage of pregnancy and exercise background. This is perfect if you want to exercise right throughout your pregnancy and meet other local to be Mums


COST:

Block Package: $135 for 5 classes to be used within the block. Includes access to an online pregnancy platform with 40+ workouts for flexible, at-home exercise.

This is a re-introduction to exercise postnatally and is the perfect way to rehabilitate in those early days after delivery from 6 weeks. You must have clearance from the women's health physiotherapist or doctor to begin. This program is pelvic floor safe and diastases recti safe. All classes are baby friendly and can bring prams, carriers and mats.

Mums and Cubs Functional Strength Ballina

Block 1: Mums and Cubs Strength (3 months to walkers)

3rd February 2025-11th April 2025

This class is for postnatal mums wanting the next step up in their rehab and to exercise in a safe space and bring baby/toddler (Yes they can be walkers). Strength based exercise safe for functional mama movements

Class involves: weights from 2kg-15kg, Therabands, Tubing loops, body weight and your baby/toddlers weight at times.


COST:

Improving Maternal Health Outcomes

Chantal's aim with Mama’s at HOME is to empower YOU to be active throughout your pregnancy and post partum journey and invest in some YOU time and fun with or without BUB. It launched in 2020 after the birth of her first daughter and has helped countless women in the Northern Rivers and nationally (online).


She wants to make access to an exercise professional CONVENIENT, ACCESSIBLE and AFFORDABLE for all Mama's and Mama's to be. The platform boasts 40+ workouts for pregnancy which are safe for pelvic girdle pain. It boasts week by week exercises for each trimester. The post natal platform has over 40+ workouts for from 6 weeks post birth to advanced rehab as well as a rehab rehab post natal program to follow so you return to exercise and movement safely.

Since working within women's health and being on her Mama journey she has been astonished by how many women fail to return to exercise safely and movement and have issues down the track. 


The best way to explain it is with a Marathon analogy.


You normally train for a Marathon for 9-10 months before completing it right? Then why wouldn’t you train your body as it undertakes the biggest event it will ever undertake over 9 months for childbirth and the period of healing thereafter.


Pregnancy and the post partum period is the same as a Marathon but realistically it is much longer (Realistically the full journey is 2 years from conception to recovery post).


For 9 months your body goes through incredible changes and it is moved and stretched to grow another human. It is important to strengthen and exercise safely through it as the body adapts. Straight after giving birth your body needs the same amount of time to heal from all these changes physically and physiologically. This healing period after birth can be up to 6-12 months with a gradual and safe return to exercise to ensure you heal right and there are no complications down the track or for future babies. Look after yourself now for your future self!


The classes are designed to be low impact and focus on all the little muscles that are often forgotten and become weak if not targeted. All exercises are safe for core, pelvic floor, pelvic girdle and targeted.
