Exercise Physiology

Chantal is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and her niche area is in Women's Health Exercise Physiology. She has over 12 years industry experience and is a mother herself. She was named in the top 5 Exercise Physiologists in Australia for the 2024 Australian Allied Health Awards and named as one of the top young outstanding business leaders in 2024 for the Northern Rivers.


She aims to improve maternal health outcomes and empower women to participate in safe exercise during pregnancy, to rehabilitate right after birth and return to exercise safely.


She runs weekly classes in Ballina for Pregnancy and Post Natal Rehabilitation and to connect Mothers in the local community. The classes are baby friendly.


Exercise is beneficial for many female specific conditions such as prolapse, incontinence, osteoporosis, diastasis recti, endometriosis, chronic pain, polycystic ovarian syndrome, diabetes, pregnancy related conditions and pre and postnatal symptoms.


Private Exercise Physiology consultations are available by appointment in clinic rooms in Ballina, NSW (address sent upon booking). Follow up sessions are completed either in clinic rooms, Ballina pool for hydro or TEMPO women's only gym in West Ballina.

Improving Maternal Health Outcomes

Chantal's aim with Mama’s at HOME is to empower YOU to be active throughout your pregnancy and post partum journey and invest in some YOU time and fun with or without BUB. It launched in 2020 after the birth of her first daughter and has helped countless women in the Northern Rivers and nationally (online).


She wants to make access to an exercise professional CONVENIENT, ACCESSIBLE and AFFORDABLE for all Mama's and Mama's to be. The platform boasts 40+ workouts for pregnancy which are safe for pelvic girdle pain. It boasts week by week exercises for each trimester. The post natal platform has over 40+ workouts for from 6 weeks post birth to advanced rehab as well as a rehab rehab post natal program to follow so you return to exercise and movement safely.

Since working within women's health and being on her Mama journey she has been astonished by how many women fail to return to exercise safely and movement and have issues down the track. 


The best way to explain it is with a Marathon analogy.


You normally train for a Marathon for 9-10 months before completing it right? Then why wouldn’t you train your body as it undertakes the biggest event it will ever undertake over 9 months for childbirth and the period of healing thereafter.


Pregnancy and the post partum period is the same as a Marathon but realistically it is much longer (Realistically the full journey is 2 years from conception to recovery post).


For 9 months your body goes through incredible changes and it is moved and stretched to grow another human. It is important to strengthen and exercise safely through it as the body adapts. Straight after giving birth your body needs the same amount of time to heal from all these changes physically and physiologically. This healing period after birth can be up to 6-12 months with a gradual and safe return to exercise to ensure you heal right and there are no complications down the track or for future babies. Look after yourself now for your future self!


The classes are designed to be low impact and focus on all the little muscles that are often forgotten and become weak if not targeted. All exercises are safe for core, pelvic floor, pelvic girdle and targeted.
